My name is Natalia. As long as I remember myself I have always loved baking. Another passion of mine was figurine and flower sculpting using plasticine and clay. I couldn’t even imagine that once I will be able to combine both of my passions.
Having masters degree in engineering, I worked in a high-tech company in Ottawa. However, thank to my husband and kids, I rediscovered my talent of baking and decorating.
I was looking for a special cake for my son’s first birthday and found a website with instructions and tools to create a cake that would reflect his personality. It turned out impressive. Since then my friends and family asked me to create many cakes for their special occasions and I realized that it was a future for me.

I started to learn the art of baking and cake decoration. I attended classes at Bonnie Gordon School of Cake Decorating and Design in Toronto. Learning from the Canada’s premiere wedding cake designer, Bonnie Gordon, was a great experience and inspiration.
In 2008 I found my own company, Blossoming Cakes, with specialty in custom wedding cakes. A cake is designed specifically for you using your wedding theme, colours and style.
